John Cox, Esquire

John has over 20 years of experience in the courtroom. He has represented clients charged with crimes ranging from simple traffic offenses to complex murder cases. In every case, we thoroughly review the discovery to spot potential issues. He relentlessly watches all camera footage and reviews all documents to gain insight into each case and prepare the best possible defense.

John formerly worked as a prosecutor in the Office of the State's Attorney for Baltimore City. During his career as a prosecutor, he handled a wide range of criminal cases, ranging from narcotics cases, robberies, burglaries, and ultimately finished his career as a homicide prosecutor. After leaving the State’s Attorney’s Office, he went into private practice and has been a criminal defense attorney since 2007. This background gives John invaluable insight into the methods the prosecution will utilize, enabling him to anticipate and be prepared for anything.
